We had a great stunting clinic tonight with some really fun and amazing girls. We can't wait for the rest of our squad to join us and for our season to officially start in November. It is wonderful to see all our original and our new Starlites work together as if they have been a team for years. I can't wait to see what this cheer team brings when we go to our first competition.

Today was the first practice for the Twinkles 3-5 year old team and they had a fun time getting to know the coaches, each other, our Starlites Big Sisters and dancing around. Practice was awesome and they were all eager to learn and listened to what I was saying. It is going to be a great learning season for these girls. I can't wait to see how they look at the end of the season when they perform their routine. They ended their practice with a team huddle and yelled out "TWINKLES"!
With the heat and humidity we all were dealing with at the Kirkwood Town Fair, the Starlites Dunk
Tank was a refreshing treat for the girls who participated. At one point during the day when the fair was slow a bunch of the kids just got in it to hang out and cool down. The girls had a great time being dunked. Thank you to all our supporters who came out to help us with this fundraiser. It was a very hot day and the Starlites never complained. They just kept going and performing their "Hawaii 5 O" routine for the people watching along the parade route in honor of our local law enforcement. We are all so proud of them and they did a great job. Our little twinkles were awesome as well as they rode the back of the truck in their first parade.

Coach KatieI can't believe we are starting our 5th season. I am really excited for our 2019-2020 season. The Starlites have grown in size and the LUNA youth cheerleading team has proven to be a great addition to the Starlites family. I am really looking forward to what the future holds for this group of hard working little athletes. Archives
